Is it really that they are so benevolent and compassionate? Are they so loving and caring about an innocent animal or is there more to the underlying reason for the apparent seething hatred for an actual human being?
This is an opportunity for payback… Payback for being in this country for 400 years with a head start, along with the benefit of chattel slavery and yet, still many of their ancestors have squandered their 400 year cushion/advantage and still have little or nothing to show for it. In the meanwhile this young Black, athlete who didn’t even finish college had more wealth than most of them will ever experience in their privileged lineaged lifetime. This is payback for swagger. How dare you have the audacity to appear to be arrogant, while my wife, my children, my daughter worship you and your athletic prowess while I struggle to make ends meet in my pursuit of my AmeriKKKan dream, like a hamster on a hamster wheel. This is for MTV Cribs. This is payback for you physically endowed, fine tuned athletes having our prized cream-of-the crop, beautiful White women throw themselves at you, and for them to then turn around and have what are considered by many to be beautifully mixed, hybrid offspring that rub our inevitable annihilation in our face even more; erasing our pale, recessive trait, white skin from the planet Earth in the process. This is for OJ... The one that got away!
I am not even a Vick fan per se'. I didn’t like the manner in which he conducted himself off of the field feeding the ignorant, pant sagging, buck wheat plait, tattoo on-the-neck, two-earring having , wanna-be-rapper frenzy that our weak minded, non-parentally guided youth embrace. However; this entire situation is DEFINITELY a “race thing”. You should hear the happiness and contempt that these White people exude about the situation… about dogs. Don’t get me wrong, I like dogs like anyone else, but at the end of the day it is still a d#mn dog. White people have been fighting dogs, chickens, Blacks, American Indians and anything else that were able to get their manipulative hands on from slavery up the Jim Crowe era and yet they act like Mike started this b%#s*t and this is something new! I am not making excuses for Vick or the rest of these wanna-be idiots, but there is something bigger at work, brewing in the undercurrent of society like the narcotic of coffee that we consume in this country like black gold each morning, and that which is percolating is the component of "race" in a country founded with the seeds of racial injustice.

While most Black folk fail to see what the “big deal” is because they have witnessed actual human beings in their neighborhoods suffer from lack of medical insurance, killed senselessly daily like animals through violent crime, starving, deprivation, living in the poverty of a "Third World" country while constantly being bombarded with images of “success” and conspicuous consumption all around you, with no uproar nor concern whatsoever. While we all like, have or can appreciate a dog. What value is placed on the lives of humans? The man has apologized, his spirit appears to be broken, lost his million-dollar contacts, has lost his wealth, his reputation, respect. What more would you have him to do? Would you have him to kill himself? Would this please you?

[*said in a country cracker a** accent*]… “They need to give him the electric chair!”…. “They need to give him life in prison!”… "They need to hang him, so he knows how it feels!”… The signs at the Richmond courthouse proclaiming “Castrate Vick” all reminiscent of another era (i.e. a public lynching), as they appear so happy and eager to see him fall and anxious for him to suffer. They appear to be so happy as result of Michael Vick's tumultuous downfall that is looks like they are going to have an orgasm of glee. Yet, the self-proclaimed “good” White folk still refuse to believe that this entire situation has anything to do with race. There is the same polarization along racial lines as there was in the OJ trial. The same people that were eating him up years ago have now turned on him and now want to lynch him. Any rational thinking (Black) person can see that it is not about Vick at all. This is about, as the God-Father of Soul would have said “The Big Payback”.

Your blogs are payback for how badly Whites dominated your people and made you feel inferior. Athletes are over-paid anyways (white or black). You think White people are jealous of blacks!!! You really do exist in 1 dimension dont you? Get your payback and get money but remember that your people like my people never got anywhere in this world by themselves.
Mr. or Ms. “Anonymous”, I definitely don’t think that White people are “jealous of Blacks”, that is absurd… why would you/they be? Who in their right mind would jealous of just getting to the point where they are afforded basic civil liberties by the same government that their tax dollars go into. [Not even going into the specter of “race” and an inconceivable lineage and history of racial injustice(s)]
I was attempting to make the point that there is indeed a segment of the population that is envious of the perceived “arrogance”, extreme wealth (for doing something that most of us would do for nothing, if it wasn’t for having to pay bills. Hell, I will admit I am guilty of that as well sometimes, since I have to get up and go to work everyday to be able to ink out an existence, at times feeling emasculated in the process), etc. But the point is, some people feel that way, I have heard/ heard of them myself.
Btw it is impossible to function and “exist in 1 dimension” being Black in this country, I/we have to be more versatile and to be more able to conform and adapt than anyone… Try more like 5 dimensions.
Touché on your last “point”; indeed no one is able to do anything in a vacuum. We definitely need one another, and the sooner that we realize that, the better for us all.

Why is it that you b**ches whine about athletes[as in black males]salaries but say zero about all the MILLIONS paid to Hollyweird actors and movie stars?!! please where was all this so-called outrage when Ben Rapekitberger was TWICE accused of rape?! Or hockey player Patrcik Roy beat his wife or Phillies pitcher Brett Myers beat his wife IN PUBLIC where was your supposed outrage then a-holes?!
